Progesterone Supplementation in Ovariectomized Rats
OU rats receiving progesterone were injected subcutaneously with 10 mg/kg progesterone (P8783, Sigma-Aldrich, Germany) diluted in propylene glycol daily for 2 weeks after OVX. Figure 8 shows the protocol of drug administration and surgery procedures. Animals that did not receive progesterone were injected with propylene glycol only (500 μl/kg).
