SARS-CoV-2 IgG Antibody Detection

Testing for SARS-CoV-2 IgG was performed on the Abbott Architect using the Abbott Architect SARS-CoV-2 IgG assay (Abbott Diagnostics, Abbott Park, Illinois, United States).^{23 (link)} Sera and plasma specimens were stored at 2 °C – 8 °C for not more than 7 days and −20 °C for long-term (> 7 days) storage. The assay is an automated two-step chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay for qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein. The assay was performed and interpreted according to the manufacturer’s instructions.²⁴
