Exosomes were isolated from CM as previously described^{18 (link)}. The isolation method included a penultimate centrifugation step to remove small cell debris and then ultracentrifugation at 100,000 × g for 1 h to generate an exosome pellet (Type 90 Ti rotor; Beckman Coulter, Fullerton, CA). The pellets were then washed once with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS).
