The total genomic DNA was extracted from leaf tissues of healthy moth bean plants and yellow mosaic virus infected plants by modified CTAB method of Rouhibakhsh et al. (2008) and Prema (2013) . All the DNA extracts were further diluted from 1:10 to 1:40 in sterile distilled water (SDW ) before using for PCR amplifications. Quality and quantity of DNA was checked by using agarose gel electrophoresis and spectrophotometer.
