Tumor DNA and mRNA Extraction Protocol

DNA and mRNA were extracted from tumor samples as previously described [23 (link)]. Frozen tumor samples were processed with Maxwell RSC Tissue DNA and Maxwell RSC simplyRNA Tissue kits according to the manufacturer’s protocol for DNA and mRNA extraction, respectively (Promega, San Luis Obispo, CA, USA). A NanoDrop ND-1000 spectrophotometer (NanoDrop Technologies, Wilmington, NC, USA) was used for DNA and mRNA quantification and qualification. A Qubit 2.0 fluorometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, MA, USA) was also used for DNA quantification.
