Nanobubble Preparation Using Lipid Extrusion

Nanobubbles were prepared according to a previous study [13 (link),21 (link)]. Briefly, DSPC (Avanti Polar Lipids) and mPEG₂₀₀₀-DSPE (NOF) dissolved in methanol (DSPC: mPEG₂₀₀₀-DSPE = 94:6 (m/m)) were dried by evaporation and vacuum desiccated. The lipid film was dispersed in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) at 65 °C, then sonicated for 3 min using an ultrasonic homogenizer (US 300E, Nissei, Tokyo, Japan). The liposome was enclosed with a 7.5 mL perfluoropropane gas and shaken in a sonicator (BRANSONIC B1200, Emerson Electric Co., St. Louis, MO, USA).
