To standardize the quantity of each ingredient in the mixture, 70 mg of zinc oxide (ZnO) powder (Septodont Healthcare India Pvt., Ltd.) was preweighed, placed in empty capsules, and sterilized. A standard length of 7.5 cm of CH paste (ApexCal, Ivoclar Vivadent) was placed on the glass slab. The ZnO powder from the preweighed capsule was emptied beside it and mixed with a few drops of normal saline to achieve the desired consistency. The mixture was carried through the root canals using a driven lentulospiral.
All the teeth in each group were sealed with glass ionomer cement. A postoperative radiograph was taken, followed by stainless steel crown placements 1 week after obturation [Figure 1d-f]. A single operator has carried out the endodontic procedure.
