Serum Biochemical Analysis in Mice

The mice of each group were anaesthetized with ketamine/xylazine and blood was collected directly from the heart. Then centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 15 minutes to separate the serum and kept at 4°C for analysis of various biochemical parameters including ALT, AST, and ALP [35 (link)]. All the analyses were performed using Hitachi 902 Automatic Analyzer using the adapted reagents from Roche (Germany) at Gribbles Pathology Laboratory Malaysia (M) Sdn. Bhd., Penang, Malaysia.
