Measuring Cytosolic Calcium in Cardiac Progenitor Cells

hCPCs were isolated from myocardial specimens obtained from patients who underwent cardiac surgery. Cytosolic Ca²⁺ levels in cultured hCPCs were measured utilizing the Ca²⁺ indicator Fluo-3 and two-photon microscopy. Cell proliferation in vivo and in vitro was evaluated by BrdUrd incorporation.
