Transgenic Mice for Optogenetic Neural Imaging

All procedures were in accordance with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at Nanyang Technological University. Transgenic mice were obtained from the Jackson Laboratory (CaMKII-tTA: 007004; TRE-GCaMP6s: 024742; VGAT-ChR2-EYFP: 014548). Mice were housed in a reversed light cycle (12 h:12 h) in standard cages at around 21 °C and 62% humidity and experiments were generally performed during the dark period. Both male and female hemizygous mice were used. Sample size was determined based on previous studies^{17 (link),39 (link),53 (link)}.
