TRIM3 Modulation of CRC Xenograft Growth

To clarify the effect of TRIM3 in vivo, four-week-old male BALB/C nude mice purchased from the Institute of Zoology, at the Chinese Academy of Sciences of Shanghai were used to establish CRC xenografts. CRC cells (5 × 10⁶) with TRIM3 overexpression were suspended in 100 μL of PBS and subcutaneously injected into flanks of the mice. To verify the chemosensitivity to oxaliplatin of TRIM3 overexpression in vivo, a single dose of 5 mg/kg oxaliplatin was injected via tail intravenous after 8 days of establishment xenograft models of TRIM3 overexpression. Tumor volume (mm³) was estimated weekly by using the following formula: tumor volume (mm³) = length × width² × 0.5 [40 (link)]. All the mice were sacrificed after 4 weeks. All animal studies were performed in accordance with the animal care guidelines. All efforts were made to minimize animal suffering.
