Bifidobacterium Gut Modulation in Mice
Corresponding Organization : Army Medical University
Variable analysis
- Antibiotic treatment (metronidazole, neomycin sulfate, ampicillin, and vancomycin) for 2 weeks
- Administration of Bifidobacterium longum (2 × 10^8 CFU) and Bifidobacterium adolescentis (2 × 10^8 CFU) via intragastric gavage
- Supplementation of antibiotic-free drinking water with Bifidobacterium longum (final concentration ≈10^6 CFU/mL) and Bifidobacterium adolescentis (final concentration ≈10^6 CFU/mL)
- Mice were evaluated after 15 days
- Mice age: 3 weeks at the start of the experiment, evaluated at 5 weeks of age
- Positive control: Mice administered (i.g.) with an equal volume of Modified Reinforced Clostridial Medium (BD 218081) but without bacterial cells, and the antibiotic-free drinking water was also supplied with an equal volume of Modified Reinforced Closthodial Medium

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
