Cytotoxicity Evaluation of Compounds

The cytotoxicity of active compounds was evaluated in J774A.1 macrophage cell line. Serial dilutions of compounds 1–9 were plated and incubated with the appropriate cell concentration of macrophages. After 24 h, cell viability was determined using AlamarBlue^® method [24 (link)]. Miltefosine (Cayman Chemicals, Vitro SA, Madrid, Spain) and benznidazole (Sigma-Aldrich, Madrid, Spain) were used as reference drugs.
