Crotonyl-CoA Synthesis and Assay

Crotonic Anhydride and Carbonic anhydrase from bovine erythrocytes were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich AG, CoA trilithium salt and DNase I from Roche Diagnostics, and NADPH Na₄ (98%) from Carl Roth GmbH. Solvents and salts were all analytical grade or better. Crotonyl-CoA was synthesized as previously reported (30 (link)).
