Quantification of Neurofilament Light in Biofluid

Serum and CSF NfL were measured with the Simoa Human Nf-Light Advantage kit using a fully automated SIMOA^® HD-1 analyzer based on a Single-Molecule Array technology (Quanterix, Lexington, MA, United States) (Sampedro et al., 2020 (link)). Quantitative measurements of NfL in blood by Simoa technology have been shown to be reliable (Soylu-Kucharz et al., 2017 (link)).
