Serum Lipid and Apolipoprotein Profiling

Venous blood samples were acquired following 12 h of fasting. TC, HDL-C, LDL-C and TG concentrations in serum were detected by means of Tcho-1, TG-LH (RANDOX Laboratories, UK), Cholestest N HDL, and Cholestest LDL (Daiichi Pure Chemicals Co., Ltd., Japan) kits, respectively. ApoA1 and ApoB concentrations in serum were determined by immunoassay (RANDOX Laboratories). Detection of all samples was completed with an autoanalyzer (Hitachi Ltd., Japan) [60 (link)].
