Functionalization of SCNPs with CPTMS

SCNPs (2 g) and 60 mL 3-chloropropyl trimethoxysilane were placed in 50 mL dry toluene. The mixture was stirred for 48 h at 60 °C under N₂ gas. The CPTMS/SCNPs was separated by magnetic separation and washed with toluene and ethanol and dried under vacuum at 80 °C.
