Heart sections (10 μm) were incubated with primary antibodies. Capillary was labelled with fluorescein-labelled Griffonia Bandeiraea simplicifolia isolectin B4 (IB4, 1:50; Molecular Probe, Invitrogen, USA) or vWF and arteriole was stained by anti-α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA; 1:100; Sigma-Aldrich).
